We’ve all been there. You have an idea, a project, or a goal you want to achieve. But then, self-doubt creeps in. “My phone camera isn’t good enough,” “I need more experience,” or “Maybe when I have the right tools…”

As the legendary Arthur Ashe said, “Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.” This simple yet powerful quote holds the key to achieving success.

Waiting for the “perfect” time or resources often leads to procrastination and missed opportunities. Instead, one should embrace the power of “good enough.” Use the skills, knowledge, and tools you have right now. Take action, learn from the experience, and continuously improve.

Let’s say you want to create engaging content for LinkedIn. You might need a fancy camera, Laptop, or editing software. But you can start with your smartphone and free editing apps. As you gain traction and refine your skills, you can invest in better equipment later.

When I was still using my previous phone, I couldn’t create more content and was telling myself why I needed to buy another phone. But this word was always popping up in my head and I concluded that if I could do better with that phone if I got a new phone, I would do better. And I’m glad to say the consistency helped me. Now I’m better than I was then because I wasn’t waiting for the perfect time, I kept using what I had.

When I started video editing on my phone, I was forced to learn it because some of my friends who could edit were not delivering when I expected. I got angry, downloaded the application, and took the whole day to learn it I can say that particular action has helped me.

What’s one thing you’ve been putting off? Don’t wait! Start where you are, use what you have, and do what you can. You’ll be amazed at how far you can go.
